At least one of the bass drivers in my MX6000 has foam rot (didn't hear anything wrong, but I peeked with a flashlight). Are replacements still available new at any reasonable price, or am I better off refoaming the original pair? Can't be too hard given the rather small size...

mr_anders_son: Ok but no warranty left But do you think they replace it for free anyway? If it's a manufacturing/design defect (and even more so a common one), the companies can't usually wiggle out of responsibility even if the warranty is out (in the EU anyway). Equipment is supposed to have an expected lifetime, usually much longer than the

beocool: You've got good bands in Finland, Tournedos. I've been a fan of Husky Rescue since 2005. I have to admit I may have never heard of them myself until this year. I'm glad I did - they disagree with the values in the excellent Lab thread as well as with the service manual on site. I took this pic and will

I think this particular advertisment was handled already, or was it in another thread? Anyway, that brown radio is not Beolit 39, it's Jet 505K, built after the war. Not quite as rare. Edit: found it . Apparently the seller hasn't read his emails...

wasti: It is quite funny when you compare the '70 prices to the present once of Beovox 2500. 50 GBP for new and now over 500 GBP for used once! I guess I will post a new topic on the forum on this fenomen. But Britain had very heavy inflation in the 70s, and the value of money has changed a lot. 50 pounds in 1970s money would have had about the

Since we have a full HD video projector at work, I recently set up a Sony Blu-Ray player to go with it. Due to lack of better ideas of what to watch on it, I ordered the BBC production "Planet Earth" on BR from Amazon. It is simply amazing. We watched two and half episodes straight last night after work hours (and only stopped there because
