Well a grand total of almost 1000 canadian dollars is about 511 pounds, so it isn't much more than what I paid but don't forget the base charger was included. Some dealers are charging seperately for the charger. Andy T.

It's not a voltage issue, it's to do with the shape of the charging pins. The old handset will charge in a new charger, but a new handset will not charge in an old charger. Andy T.

Ha! I have a lot of good memories of my Mk3 GXL. Like the time it passed it's MOT with three brakes working, and a pair of Molegrips dangling off the brake pipe on the fourth! Take it you mean Beolab 8000s. I have a very little experience with a Beolab 2, but having heard Ed's I would highly reccomend it. Ask a local dealer if you can hear one in your own home. You will be gobsmacked! Andy T.
