You need a Mark 4 which is type number 8939, 894x depending on where you live - basically if the number is either 8939 or starts with the 3 digits 894, you have a Mark 4!

It is a fault in the amplifier of the Penta. The boards inside are not of the highest quality and do age. I would look for a working pair! There are plenty around.

I love fountain pens! Actually now collect those rather than B&O!! Mont Blanc do make good pens but they are rather expensive and are regarded by some as a boutique brand.
