I have some 10.000uF 80V in stock now (35x52mm). PM me for details. Martin

The envelope contained the schematics. A missing channel could be caused by anything, capacitors, potentiometers, switch contact etc. Put an oscilloscope to the signal path to see where the channel is lost. Martin

Hi Kris, The service manual is available for download for silver and gold members, well worth the membership fees with all the documentation available. As s gold member, you even get to join in the monthly prize draw, checkout the prizes on the main website (top right corner). TR52 is listed as part no. 8320161 (BC261B / BC212B-L / BC251B) TR53 is listed

It could be a grounding problem, maybe from the chassis to the CD deck. Try re-seating all plugs/connectors. It could also be that the muting circuit started to oscillate or an unstable power supply, both probably cap problems. I would put an oscilloscope to the signal path and power supply rails to see where it comes from. I agree with the other Martin

I don't sell refurbished boards but I have repaired quite a few that were sent to me. I recommend to keep your own board, you see the board has some adjustments that will need to be set to match the given turntable chassis so transplanting a board from one machine into another may not work without re-adjusting. Replacing of the transistors alone

The silicone grease, you link to, looks fine. I can't feel the consistence through the screen of course but I think it's very similar to what was originally used. You will only need a small amount. There are two rails to lubricate. Martin

The last photo is not of Beovox S80 but Beovox MC120.2 (Beovox S80 does not have the reflex port "grill" at the bottom). The S50's looks to have had the surrounds replaced but the dustcap looks undisturbed. This means that the foam rot has been taken care of but the cone was probably not re-shim'ed. This is not necessarily a bad thing

The FM preset cover pulls straight off. It says LIFT on it but that's a bit confusing. Martin

The H-bridge is a circuit on the main board so I would need the whole board but take a look at it yourself first, it may not be as hard as it sounds. Find the motor in the schematics and you'll see which transistors to focus on. Martin

Jeff, These are not at all stupid questions. Yes, I was thinking that about the blown fuse. It also fits perfectly with the symptoms you describe, trying to play a record. There's a H-bridge consisting of, I think, 8 transistors. One shorts and starts the landslide and some others will have suffered an overload because of that. They are fairly cheap
