  • Re: Posting from iPhone

Works from Nokia E90 as well... There goes the last excuse (pub night) for not posting on Wednesday threads! Of course, it makes editing links and such on a normal computer more difficult. Not hard to change the option, though...

  • Re: Connecting Beogram 8000 to Denon AV receiver

Hi Andrew, and welcome to Beoworld You also need to have the ground lead from the sleeve of the DIN to the earth contact on your amp, otherwise you will get terrible hum. I've seen these for sale but unfortunately can't suggest any particular place. If you can't find one, you can temporarily use a separate jump wire from the amp earth and

  • Re: BeoMaster 7000 Tuner/Amplifier - Line in/Out socket use?

chtmorag: The lead has a mini jack to a 5 din which was advertised for use between the ipod and b & o equipment. Then it has only left and right connections (+ ground) from the iPod to a B&O input. It can't magically change direction when you connect it to some other DIN socket, they always have both in & out in dedicated pins. You need

  • Re: BG4002 Too many wires?

It's in the 4002-6000 service manual schematic (a little bit hard to follow with tired eyes, but anyway...) L and R outputs from the pickup should go to pins 9 and 1, respectively, on the internal connector. These are the pins that are at the ends of the arc. Pickup signal grounds go to pin 7 and shield ground to pin 5 (middle). I suppose the pins

  • Re: BG4002 Too many wires?

Yours is probably old enough to be prewired for the CD4 decoder option, or they just had a surplus of four channel DIN cables laying around in the factory warehouse... You won't need more than the typical two + ground connections if you want to replace the cable, but you may have to reverse engineer which connection is which. But I would just repair

  • Re: Beosound 9000 & Beo4 Problem - Help Please

Nyquist: Wow!!! I just tried it with the Plasma ON & OFF and this is 100% right. It solved the problem. It never would have occurred to me and obviously I never caught on that whenever I was trying out the new Beo4 I had the TV on as well. How the heck does it block IR signal? Why does this not effect the TV's remote or DVD? B&O remotes

  • Re: Beogram 1700

However mint the 20CL might seem, it's still at least 25 years old. Even if the stylus is good, the suspension may not (or possibly will not) have the qualities it had when new. Anyway, I would check the cables if all you did was sand off rust from the connectors. These turntables did not have RCA connectors originally, so the whole replacement

  • Re: Question about remotes from new member!

I got my Beo4 (decent condition, just some wear in the buttons) for 60 euros, and it came complete with an MX6000 and motor stand! (of course, I had to fix the tv - I think the best remote bargains come with broken tv sets.) I would imagine a Beosound 4 to be a bit awkward to use with an older remote without A.MEM and whatever, but then again I've

  • Re: BeoVox 1 in sauna ?

Well, as long as we're talking about real saunas and not some Turkish steam rooms... The actual climate would be more like 60-90 C and humidity the same, or more. Frankly, I don't think I've ever seen anyone install speakers inside the actual sauna. Maybe in the wash room... On the left of this posting, you can see some B&O equipment
