Same boat as me really! I would keep your Avant! The thought of a BV5 with BS3 technology interests me!!

I would get the BV5 Mk4 (HD) as this is a B&O design classic with HD ability. It gives a good picture and is beautiful both on and off. If I was looking to replace my Avant now, that is what I would get - the only set that B&O make that might tempt me otherwise would be the BV9 but I prefer the BV5.

Not long for this world! The BS6 will be dropped any minute as it is one of the Samsung branded items. You may well get a good deal on one. It is based heavily on a Samsung model but with a nicer case. Would I buy one? No. I have an iPod classic , Touch and iPhone. If no lights show on the charger, check the fuse. If nothing doing, it doesn't sound good but probably worth taking in for service. The touch and iPhone do not sound as good in my experience but I prefer my classic to those. Not had a BS2 for a little while now.

Your options are set wrong - both should be Option 1 and they are most likely set to 2. Both IR eyes are getting the signal and that is why you jump two channels. What are the speakers attached to? The options are different depending on how you are using the system. Id the speakers attach to the TV, set the TV to option 2 and the audio unit to option

Well worth doing - S120s are one of the best passive speakers made by B&O. Either do it yourself or get a company to do it. I canno recommend one - Recone in the UK has stopped doing it - but an internet search revealed this in the US.

It doesn't even have a DVD button!! It must be well over 3 years old! SAT works DTV and V.Tape works V.MEM . SHIFT, SAT works the DVD.
