So you think B&O put one of these in every speaker just to fill out a hole or ? It makes a world of difference, believe me. What you have now is a very open bass reflex system, not balanced or calibrated to anything but the barometric pressure rather than a well-balanced pressure chamber system with a superbly calibrated passive bass radiator. Put in a tiny screw from below with a nut above and mount the string and spring to it. I've done that a couple of times and it's a very durable solution. The alternative is to replace the whole arm carriage. It can be done but parts are getting scarce. Martin

Normally, every car parts store will have a small and fairly cheap multimeter with the basic functions that will be fine for your needs. Martin

The Beocenter won't react to turntable commands if no record is sensed so maybe the record sensing is bad ? Martin

I can supply the belt. You have a PM ! Martin

Gent, Is the humming present also without an input signal (light green) ? Does the cooling fin or transformer become hot just by being powered on ? Like everywhere else, capacitors age and cause problems. The Beolab Penta speakers are no exception so caps cannot be ruled out. I normally repair the older audio stuff but more and more people come to me

If you still have both of the BM6000's that I had here for repair, try playing through the other one though I seriously doubt the problem to be in the BM6000 since they were fully tested here. Is the sound quality bad or is it "just" low in volume ? Martin

WOW ! Defintely well deserved, congratulations ! Martin

Beomaster 1000 has a wonderful sound but also a loudness function that you cannot disable. Try comparing with loudness switched ON on your BM6000. Martin

Welcome to Beoworld ! Did you replace all three belts ? It sounds as if the belt for the motion sensor is bad or not in. The balance and tone controls are not touch sensitive. They are sliders found under the large top cover. Press the word "Programming" on the extreme left side of the front rail and the lid springs up. Martin
