In one of my recent eBay purchases of a Beomaster, the guy 'threw in' an old B&O stand, not dissimilar to an SC17 It was quite a mess and the stainless steel frames were showing rust spots. Yesterday I pulled it all apart to see what could be done. I tried lots of different things to get rid of the rust spots ( Brasso, vinegar, Cif,etc)

I couldn't get online yesterday evening as I was babysitting the hooligans and didn't get home till twentyfive to three in the morning. Henry, the fourth screw is under the sticker. DON'T stick the screwdriver through the sticker, it looks awful! (Like an un-ironed shirt ) If you cut a quarter inch strip off an old credit card, keeping a curvy bit, you can gently tease back the sticker and keep it intact. That way, it will stick back when you have finnished. Andy T.

Mobe, the sticky stuff will probably come off easily with isopropanol. DON'T PUT THE BOTTLE ON THE FLOOR THEN KICK IT OVER! DON'T USE IT NEAR A NAKED FLAME! DON'T LET LITTLE MOBETTE DRINK THE BOTTLE! DON'T DO IT IN MID-AIR OVER A CONCRETE FLOOR. I think I've covered all bases there. Andy T.

On Sunday night, after I had logged off, I went in the lounge and put on the Oxygene cd. Played it through my 7000 system and Avant on speaker 5. I turned all the lights off and lit one candle, turned up the volume to 60 (sod Mary next door) and listened to it in it's entirity with my eyes closed. Oh my goodness! I nearly had an 'out of body'
