I particularly like the BV7 cabinet. It allows all the wiring to be dealt with easily and the annoying STBs to be contained close by but out of sight. I have actually seen one of these in the flesh when they first started and they are beautifully made and very elegant - the top of the cabinet where the foot of the stand sits is beautifully done. I think

Sounds like the protection circuit. Will need a service - At a guess, the power supply trimmers are out of spec and you need a few components changing. Well worth it with this particular machine.

Mine is the same but works well with my Mac and beoport so MP3 CDs are not an issue. The latest software for the Master Unit is 5.20 . 5.10 is the big one though and supports the new acoustic keypad - unfortunately this can only be fitted to Mk 2 BC2s.

Sorry not been near a computer all day. Try formatting it in the card reader. I had a very long conversation with B&O about this some years ago - mine kept not working and not being recognised. They even replaced it once!

To re-cap on a previous thread, is the plastic bung in the line in /out socket at the back? If not there, it disconnects the power amplifier and you could well get no sound (I guess you are hearing ground! )
-
Format the SD card - same happened to me.
