  • Re: Downgrade MX7000 software

chr_elling: You write: "In addition, the old & new software might store all adjustment settings in a completely different way, meaning that the set would be completely out of adjustment once you boot up with the "new" (old) software." - but what are the exact implications of that? Problems that can not be solved with a Beolink1000

ipaul: Not too sure if it's all that simple, it could very well be if it's a newer (beo4, type 78xx) MX that even the infrared transmitters aren't fitted, you could check it under the toplid, that's the only thing i can think of just now. For what it's worth - I didn't bother to disassemble (again) my MX6000 type 7810, Beo4

  • Re: Beolink5000 - Beovision7000 - motorised stand= not working together...

Zugn: I check the setup from the TV, but there is nothing about the stand. I see exactly this: Oh, the menu must be different in the 1.x software then. I looked through a number of MX/LX user manuals, but unfortunately none of the Beolink 1000 versions said a word about programming the stand. So, I don't really know if you should see it there or

  • Re: How do I turn the mechanical stand on my MX7000 with my Beolink7000

chr_elling: But there seems to be some sort of contact between the BL7000 and tha MX7000. My problem is to get access to it when I use my tv on an everyday basis. See here - if you have software version 3.1 in your MX, I don't think it's possible. I have RDS in my Beosystem 2300, but my BL7000 does not show the the RDS info. My B&O dealer

Edit: sorry, I didn't notice that you already posted the software version, and that should be OK - I'll leave the next paragraph here for reference to other readers, though... Please, skip to the next point AFAIK it depends on the software version of the television. You can check it with menu-0-0-go if you have a Beo 4 (dunno how to do that

  • Re: Beomaster 900 Tuning Drive Clutch.

I also have one of these where the clutch doesn't quite work right - I managed to adjust it so that both FM and AM work, but in FM the AM scale is dragged along in some parts of the dial (or vice versa, can't remember). I was planning to simply buy some rubber sheet of about the right thickness, and cut the rings out of it. Disassembly seems

  • Re: Bang&Olufsen & world recession

Did already - look at the stock price. While I don't believe that directly tells anything about the company and its products - all shares have plunged in the past months - they can't get away from global recession. However, as has been discussed over and over again, they don't even try to appeal to general public, which is the market that

  • Re: Looking for a photo diode. Pref. in Sweden.

I got them from www.embedit.de and they're cheap (around 2 euros a piece, best order at least 10 while you're at it...). Go to "online shop" first, you won't find them on the first page. The delivery was really slow (like one month - I think it was the holiday season), but otherwise I have no complaints. If you have problems ordering

  • Re: Beolink5000 - Beovision7000 - motorised stand= not working together...

I still stand (pardon the pun...) with my original idea that your set has the later version software just like my MX6000 does, and the stand simply cannot be operated using the "picture" key. In that case, the remote command "picture" is simply for adjusting the picture, and that's why it goes to brilliance at once. You have

  • Re: Every Day Design Classics.

Graham1982: In Europe (not often in the UK) they have cupboards above the kitchen sink with a draining rack as the base - you wash your dishes, and rack them in there and the excess water drips into the sink. You then put the plates away. That is in fact a Finnish invention from the late forties. I don't think I have seen that elsewhere, and many
