Hehe, I was just wondering, they look quite odd as they weren't a part of the Danish catalogue. I am in plenty of MMC20-style carts for now, just buying cheap non-working Beograms (there is a surprising amount of Beogram 1902's over here) with fine carts if they are needed
-
They look similar, the only difference being the plastic guard over the needle which is black instead of transperant.

Have a look at this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/B-O-BANG-OLUFSEN-MMC10E-CARTRIDGE-STYLUS-TESTED-/220755210756?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3366093204#ht_2077wt_1139 I have never heard about an MMC10 series?

I had a Beogram 1902 doing the same thing. I didn't find the problem source, but I suspect that the "arm lowering" lever got stuck under the mechanism.
-
It runs at a steady 60-63 degrees centigrade, I think the CCC system is heating quite a bit, eh?
-
My other BC9000 are also working a little hot, but this one is almost burning my fingers. I can take a temperature reading with my optical thermometer when I come home from work.

Just got the Beogram 4000 back from repair, the original SP15 cart actually plays fine for a 38 year old unit, but there is a little too much distortion, it is going to get retipped by Axel in a couple of weeks. I even have the original test charts and the caretaking set with brush, fulcrum style weight, 45 adaptor and stylus cover

Hello, I have encountered this problem in one of my BC9000's. It plays and records well, but after abot 20 minutes left on, the rear cooling fins are too hot to touch. I suspect that some sort of output transistor gets too much current (bias problems). Is it an ordinary problem on the Beocord 8000 range? -Søren Hammer

Using my Form 1's for recording with my band on a Zoom R16 interface/SD card recorder. Works like a charm!

My 25 Year old Beogram CD50 also reads CDRW's with no problems
