It's unfortunate that B&O seems to have not avoided this design flaw of not allowing enough space for cable management for the AV5 and AV6 sockets. This same short-sightedness in practical design happened with the placement of the BeoSystem 1 in the BeoSystem 1 cabinet: there was inadequate space to use the front "camera" inputs with

Thanks, Trip. That's exactly what I needed to know. My dealer was under the understanding that it would not be controlled by a Beosystem 3, but he was uncertain. The output of the BeoMaster 5 is DVI-I, but would a DVI-D to VGA adapter work? The adapter fits but has less male pins than the DVI-I female port on the BeoMaster 5. I have a couple of

Can anyone confirm if a Beomaster 5 can be controlled by a Beosystem 3 that's using a non-B&O screen? Also, what connection is used? DVI to HDMI or DVI to VGA or component to component? I hate to use up one of the Beosystem 3's HDMI inputs for the Beomaster 5.

After connecting 7 surround speakers, do you hear all 4 rear/side speakers even when only 5.1 sound is available? Or do 2 of the speakers go unused most of the time?

I've been trying to justify upgrading from a Beosystem 1 to a Beosystem 3. I thought to myself "Wow. I'll finally be able to hear 7.1 channels of surround sound!" I was even planning where I would place those extra 2 B&O speakers in the room. Then.....I started browsing through my very large collection of blu-ray movies and found

I was hit with the scam, too.

Has anyone used a BeoSystem 3 with an HDMI to Component/RGB converter for use with a projector or tv that lacks HDMI? I've found a device called the HD Fury2 that claims to offer HDCP compliancy. Has anyone had success with such devices? Any handshake issues or loss of video quality?

I believe that B&O intends to use an ethernet network for future distribution of video. The outdated video link is not capable of handling high def video. B&O has already announced in a dealer newsletter that future tvs will be capable of playing back high def video content distributed via a network hard drive source. This just makes sense for

Yikes. Perhaps Paris Hilton will give it a good home.

Peter, If the complaint was of the nature of B&O complaining about a discussion of leaked future product details, I'm very glad to see that you've allowed the thread to continue. I have always felt a concern that having B&O as an ad sponsor of the site could lead to pressure to control the site and its content. It's nice to see that
