Hi Mika, I sanded down and resprayed a Beogram 1102 (originally Rosewood, now black) and I was VERY happy with the results. I then did the same with my Beomaster 1900 to match and I'm admiring it sitting on the wall as I type this post! However, what works in black may not be quite so good in white. I was careful to get a nice smooth finish, but

Just thought I'd let you all know, I've decided to upgrade my membership on beoworld.org, because everyone here is so helpful! Only one thing I'm unsure of on the Beosound 9000 - the key slots on mine are not together at the top as shown in Peter's diagram, but one above the other in the middle of the backplate. I assume the settings

Thanks Guys, That's really helpful! Will try adjusting with a screwdriver, as shown in Peter's diagram (plastic key doesn't seem strong enough to turn). Hmmm, will let you know regarding your kind offer, Austin! Cheers, Steve.

Hi, don't know if anyone can help, but my Beosound 9000 (2nd hand off eBay) seems to have trouble playing CD's. Some discs will turn with a scraping sound, but others turn for a second and then stop. Occasionally, the discs will turn slowly and the sound is distorted. This is the same regardless of the orientation of the unit (ie. vertical or

Hi everyone, As many of you will know, the wall shelves for the later Beogram turntables have been out of production for some time (15 years?) and I've only seen one on eBay in the UK since 2006. I've managed to borrow one for long enough to take measurements and photographs, but all the metalworking shops I have approached have said they would

Hi dak, I've just seen a cable on eBay that will let you connect your iPod to most B&O products, for less than UK£5 - here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/iPod-MP3-Player-to-Bang-and-Olufsen-B-O-HiFi-Cable_W0QQitemZ110221970831QQihZ001QQcategoryZ86805QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Hello everyone, I've been experimenting with my Penta speakers for a couple of weeks and I've found that their sound quality varies a lot depending on how they are placed in the room. I thought I would share a few ideas and ask what other people have found. The first change I made was the unscrew the midrange/tweeter panel on the front of one

Hi, In case anyone else has the same problem, here's the solution for future reference: The Penta bass speakers are still available new from B&O, part number 8480197, UK price (December 2007) £19.75 each inc. VAT. Penta midrange speakers are slightly more expensive at £25.00 each, the part number for these is 8480106. I didn't

Thanks Guys, I will call my local dealer on Monday. Have a great Christmas! Steve.

Please can someone help me? I've just come home to find that one of the bass drivers in my Penta loudspeakers has been damaged, it has been pushed in and now no sound is coming from it. If you move it back and forwards by hand, you can feel the driver rubbing against the magnet inside. We've had various in-laws visiting, so not sure who could
