I'm the proud owner of a palisander Beogram 8002 and exept the lid is a bit scruffy from bad cleaning it's a nice, perfectly working unit. I also got a white edition Beogram 6006 that is even more nice than the 8002. I'm going to keep 'em both as they sound very great. As I always think. The better the B&O the more value it has.

It depends on how much you want to spend on it. Usally fast forward and reverse needs to be lubricated when moving gets slow. The drivebelts needs to be fresh too and if they are still the originals mounted I would highly recommend to get in touch with Dillen here. Opening a Beocord 9000 is a very simple thing to do. Losen the 2 screws, one on each

I have a palisander Beomaster 6000 '80s that does the same allthough at lower volume. It is a heating issue of some sort I think and the Beomaster is shut down for safety reasons. Try unplugging the speakers and see if it takes the load on 32. Mine does and it means that the speaker outputs needs to be adjusted as they are out of specs. That is

I still use my CDX with a Beomaster 8000. It sounds awesome despite the age. It sounds a bit more dark since it's only 14bits but it's basically a workhorse. I got a CD6500 too and I can't say the CDX is better but for your system you can't go wrong with one.

That's what I'm thinking too but a regular 3.5 mm mono jack is to thick. This is an mid '80s construction. Could it be that a smaller mono jack is the solution?
-
It could be. Here is an inside look:

I need your help. What plug do I need for the gold IR connection? I can only find cables with a mini jack on them so I might need to find a converter of some kind but I don't know what plug would fit.

Here is a recent picture. I think in order for the finish of the Beocord 5500 it will take the space at the bottom. Yes I still got my Attyca II but one reason for the 6500 system was to save on space. My Beosystem 6000 and 8000 takes enough allready. I might go with the stand designet for the 6500 someday and I think the Attyca will be sold.

It's nearly like that at the moment. I just have to move the Beocord 5500 a bit lower. The Beocord 5500 was an afterthought as I ran into it in a secondhand store. Cheap, very good condition and working 100%. I could not say no. I use Beovox S80.2 until I get enough cash for a pair of Beolab Penta MKIII. There is such a pair in a shop here and they

As I recall there was at least one thread like this but was that on the old forum? Well as I'm a recently new Beosystem 6500 owner I would like to hear your thoughts of the ideal way to stack it. The system has the following units: Beomaster 6500 Beocord 6500 Beogram CD 6500 Beocord 5500
