  • Re: Beolab 2000 vs Beolab 3500

Keith, it sounds as though you speak from experience. Can I send you my Tattersalls: The local laundry here sprays too much starch.

I just learned something new, so a question to the experts: Do you think this would work with the other Beocom models ( as they all have A / V buttons ) ?

  • Re: Error msg when launching beoplayer

Thomas; I had the same experience with a new MAC Powerbook laptop, also running MS XP on one side ( which is very hard to find these days ). I use AVG on the PC side of the HD but I don't recall any issues with the firewall or antivirus. In my case, I took the old version of Beoplayer off ( using Add/Remove ), rebooted, reinstalled the new version

Both are good speakers, but for your Utility-Laundry Room application, I would suggest the 2000. Easier to clean, robust metal construction, can be mounted or freestanding ( moved as needed ), hand or remote controlled, and is ML linked to certain B&O systems. I have both in upstairs bedrooms, serving as music, radio, Internet, and SKY TV sound

Brainstorming along this line there are some possibilities that might be available with Bluetooth. I have a MACBOOK w/ XP + Bluetooth downstairs for work, and a newer PC with Bluetooth upstairs. I notice that with the new version, Bluetooth stereo is available, and that both computers at least recognize each other. Both units can send and receive, WILAN

Chrisrain; 1. Yes. Connection cable between Beoport, PC, and BS 3200. All lines are hidden. 2. Chris above, details the connection configuration very well with AE & BS 3200. 3. Re: North America: It works there with B&O EU systems. I have 3 ML Beoports set-up ( Suisse, US, Brasil ) using 220-240v equipment, including ML speakers. The US system

Stan's AE suggestion 3 minutes ago might be well worth looking into. I originally set my laptop up with Beoplayer + Beoport to test it, (It was called PC2 then). As most of us commute with our laptops, I decided to connect Beoport to a desktop PC and leave it in place. There have since been a number of ML speakers added, and 3 successive desktops
