And I thought we were keen on B&O excuse the bias. Yes there are plenty of speakers out there that will perform well and possibly better than B&O but the systems were designed to work with B&O speakers so why not use them.

Hi Mike and welcome to the forum. The speaker connections are made with Din 2 plugs which are pretty standard. If you have a Maplins (I'm assuming you're in the UK) they will have them in either a screw or solder format. You can use any speakers that are rated for the center but B&O will usually sound better than anything out there depending

I think that the acid test is can you live with it and for how long. I really can see no reason aestheticaly/ functionaly not to keep the B&O I have. Much of the other companies designs are just for the here and maybe two years time to catch the market.

Probably the belts which Martin is also a source for The surrounds are quite easy to do with a little car and patience and are way cheaper than replacing the drivers. Changing the capacitors is well worth it if you can't do it yourself then any electronics repairer can do it for you just give him the kit to fit. It'll be worth it in the end

As everyone has said the quality control is fierce ( I get this from the aluminium side of things their rejection criteria are VERY high). Please go to B&O head office and let them know they will I'm sure be interested in this. When you do get the system your happy with do please let us know what you got

Correct it's 7v DC (from the manual) but frustratingly doesn't tell you what the polarity is. "Mostly" it's positive centre but I wouldn't risk it.
