Two problems: 1. Yes, you will need somthing like a MCL2P to frive the Cona. 2. The Cona does not produce that much bass - it is designed to fill in for the CX range which obviously needs upper bass. The 6000s actually are not too bad at this - it is the really low bass they don't do. You will also not remove the low frequencies from the 6000s,

Expensive but fully working and in good condition. Has a warranty. Copy not so accurate! The Beogram was not the first linear tracking turntable.

Actually this is from Beolist, an email based forum, which still exists as a Yahoo forum, though unfortunately with almost no traffic. I am not sure why it stopped - a lot of the original members of Beoworld were also members of BeoList. Some of the features were difficult to update - I couldn't add to my collection list for instance. There have

PDF is exactly what I want! I tend to do anything colour in colour and text in gray scale. You can email me at peter (at) beoworld.org Many thanks! Anyone got a user manual for the colour radio 700?

Could you scan it for the site and I will put it on?

This shows why we always suggest listening for oneself. What one person likes may not be your taste at all. I don't like 6000s much - I find then lacking in bass and lightweight - he finds then clear and detailed. Probably the same sound but interpreted in different ways! I agree about good passive speakers - I prefer units with a big bass driver

Agree - 6000 and 4000 are basically pretty similar though I think the 4000 is better. The 8000 is that bit ahead - half way to 1s. They should be though - quite a bit more expensive. I still prefer my Pentas though!

The manual is on site but I know what you want is the schematics and circuit lay out. The problem we have here is that B&O simply advise replacing the PCB in case of any fault - not very helpful if you don't have a supply of these. I do remember that some of the TV manuals have remote details in and will have a search through to see if there

Quite tricky as you are comparing completely different systems. I suspect you are really wanting a digital file system like the Naim but are attracted by the outward appearance of the Beolab 8000s. I would be tempted to miss out on the 4000 - you say you won't use the CD player and you therefore certainly won't be using the tape! I would either

It was! They will work with any modern B&O product but if not two way, they work akin to a retarded Beolink 1000. But they are gorgeous - I loved having mine but bever used it once I changed my main system from a Beosystem 7000 to a Beocenter 2. Not convinced that was an upgrade!
