If the processor runs under unstable conditions, it will produce unstable results. If f.e. the main motor coils are not driven they correct way (f.e. not alternating due to a processor halt), the driver circuit will overheat. Replace the caps. You can take them one cap at a time if you have the patience and/or doubt your skills but it's my experience

  • Re: Beocord 2000 noisy motor.

It could be that residue from the old belts is sitting at the motor pulley or the idler wheels. This is very easy to clean using cotton buds and tapehead cleaner (isopropanol or carburettor alcohol - it's all the same). When you have the belts dismounted, try rotating the motor pulley by hand. It should run quietly, no rumble. If the motor rumbles

  • Re: Correct fuse value for BG 4000?

$5,50/each fuses ? Boy, that sounds costly I am sure you will be able to buy some at f.e. Ebay, maybe even a little selection of values at a much more attractive cost. The 5x20mm size is standard in Europe. It doesn't matter which wire you lift, just as long as the switch is no longer in circuit. Even better would be the voltage reading across the
