  • Re: Quick qestion about Beocenter 9500

The 9500 really produces about 30W a channel. The figure of 85W was bandied about but this was after the figures were all recalculated. The Beomaster 5500 went from being a 55W amplifier to a 110W amplifier without a single change of component! From experience, the S75s will work very well and i think they are rated at 120W music power anyway which

  • Re: Quick qestion about Beocenter 9500

I used S75s for years with my BC9500. They worked perfectly and were a very good match. I always liked S75s - lovely finish to the cabinets - especially the rosewood ones - and plenty of bass. The S45-2 is probably a more linear sounding speaker but the S75 is maybe a bit more exciting!

  • Re: dumb question-BS9000

Afraid not. Shame as it would mean you could have a huge collection on 6 CDs! The BC2 will do this though but interestingly the BS4 would appear not to. I suppose the SD card allows playback instead.

  • Re: Advice on buying a used music system.

It is also worth remembering that the 5000 system, when introduced was effectively a separates version of the top line music centres and was below the 6000 and 8000 in the hierarchy of sound systems. The 2500 when introduce was also very much below the 7000 system in performance parameters with the CD and Tape machines of the 7000 in particular being

  • Re: Fair price advice needed for my items

AT: Thank You Peter :) Of course, You are right, they worth exactly the money someone will pay - but some people already asked me about the prices, and I was not able to answer them, because I didn't know how much I can ask for... that's the reason I'am looking for advices. For Your question, I do not know any differences between the 9750

  • Re: Fair price advice needed for my items

The price obviously depends on what someone will pay. The LCS7000 is rare but the use of the Beolink 7000 is falling and most lie with enthusiasts. I think you may find 350 Euros will not attract many buyers. The watch attracts both B&O fans and watch fans and I have certainly seen them go for the price you name. If it is the remote one I am thinking

  • Re: Which speakers have connection for Beovox 2500 Cube?

You can of course just run them off the speaker 2 sockets of the Beomaster. You can therefore use them with any speakers.

  • Re: beo decks

The best of the older B&O decks is the 3000 . However if you like the look of the 1200 series, the one to get is the 1202 as it has the same basic chassis. The 2000 is not quite as good but does have a hinged lid. Of course if you want the very best, the 3000 Thorens is the one to get though these are rather pricey! For the previous decks, the SP12

  • Re: beo decks

You can look in the For Sale area. However, which deck are you looking for? And what sort of condition? The most expensive is a perfect Beogram 7000 - it has the advantage of working with the modern equipment. The cheapest common ones are decks like the 1700 - ironic as it probably sounds better than the 7000!

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 issues

MS150s are superb speakers. They have more real bass than Pentas which actually do flatter a little with an upper bass rise rather than ultimate extension. They can take everything the Beomaster can throw at them and a bit more. I actually prefer M100s to the MS150s as in common with a lot of the late uniphase models, I find the tweeter gets a bit strident
