Check also the transformer edge connector. The board inside the transformer tend to oxidate, clean it with a glass-hair brush or similar. Martin

Records in other colors than black may play on one Beogram and not on another, I feel it's not related to the type but may reflect the setting of the sensor adjustments. I have a record that my daily Beogram 6006 will play one day but not the next. I wouldn't expect any vinyl color to be sensed without a little help. I use the little brush originally

Surely there must be some repairers in Canada ? Regarding your Beogram 4002; There are not a lot of capacitors in these machines, actually mostly tantals, but I can spot a tendency in them becoming faulty, causing the strangest faults. Capacitor kits are in the making. In your case, I would first check the lamp and then the sensor output before going

Hi, Welcome to Beoworld ! We don't have too many posts regarding the vintage B&O things so I was happy to see one. I will check at home for photos but I am also a bit curious why you need them ? Martin

The type of board mounted is not related to the ...-2 extension. Try looking at the last pages of the manual for any aftermarket changes and upgrades or check a Beomaster 1900 service manual, they

Hi Jeff, Well, as said before, this is one of the cases I would love to have on the bench but I'm afraid that is not going to happen. Surely, there must be someone geographically nearer to you ? Anyone ? Martin

Martin

Yes, the laser block travels on a rail and a bearing ball and as Graham already suggested, clearing this fault is often a matter of cleaning and lubricating of the laser carriage rail. The old lubricant collects dust and dirt and seems to be especially fond of smoke particles. It hardens and starts to bind the carriage. Clean gently and add a tiny amount
