Sounds like a problem with charging the battery. A warranty issue - return to a dealer.

tarmacterror: Hi Peter, thanks for the speedy reply... I assume the Onkyo does as it has RCA 'pre out' for all channels i.e front, rear, centre, sub, surr. Have a look at THIS and let me know.# I suppose RCA-line in are 10 a penny and not requiring endless hours trying to source?? Scott Looking at that reminds me of the benefits of Powerlink sockets

The springs are adjustable so you could set them to ride high but to take up the weight of the clamp. Record support didn't seem to be a priority for the later decks!

Tom: Peter : Yamaha YTR-8310ZS Very light and a glorious tone! I think that's a good choice. Has she tried it yet? Did she try any Bach Trumpets? No it is a surprise though I have made sure she has the same mouth piece as her present trumpet. I considered a Bach but they are quite heavy and the 8310Z won my heart having heard it play!

The BL4 also has a mini jack to accept variable line in so you need an RCA to mini jack wire. I take it that the AV receiver you have chosen has pre-amp out sockets? Welcome to the forum!

I agree. Do the speakers mute when you press mute on the Beomaster? If not, then you are using speaker 2. The problem may be because Speaker 1 has a problem - the mute circuit relay commonly plays up on these meaning you get no output or only one channel.

Puncher: Peter : Clearly going for the youth market and the iPod nano. Might actually get some for my daughter!! Is she a Sk8er Girl then?? I suppose she could be! She is getting a green iPod nano for Xmas though (as well as a trumpet!!)

I use CX100s with my Mac. Minijack from the audio out to the tape 2 input on a Beomaster 5500 . CXs attached to 5500. Excellent sound!
