Something preventing the carriage from moving fra enough. After a record is sensed, the speed is reduced and this is where problems often show. Probably accumulated dirt on the long threaded servo motor spindle or the servo motor belt slipping. Q2. Exactly. Martin

Hi Derek, 92PU01 can be replaced by 2SC4135 or BD507. 92PU51 can be replaced by 2SA1593 or BD508 Due to their positions in the H-bridge, I would recommend replacing all 4 at a time. Martin

I can supply the cap kits. The Beogram 8000 will need the full package (its in the EUR 25 range with shipping) and in your case I would recommend you just grab a bunch of 22uF caps for the CDX rather than the complete (and quite comprehensive) kit. The green LED's are probably not bad - just cracked solders. For some reason, the CD X is very prone

The idle current trimmers are prone to failure and this is the exact symptom of this problem. Replace the trimmers are readjust to factory spec. or, if you don't know how to do that, bring it to someone who often service B&O, it won't be an expensive repair. Martin

A copycat Arena. Also danish. Very clear where they got the idea from, still they didn't mamage to make it as light and pleasant looking as B&O did. It looks a bit clumsy, I think and the top dial knob ruins the "flush" design somehow. There were many B&O "clones" like this and actually, compared to most, the above Arena

I agree. It sounds like standard issues. Capacitor kits are available for both machines and I would definitely recommend grabbing one for the Beogram 8000. Check also the condition of the tachodisc and check for cracked solders on the main board while in there. The CD X will suffer from cracked solders in the power supply areas and also the via problem

Hi and welcome to Beoworld ! I agree that it sounds like bad solders. Actually a very common fault that can cause the strangest symptoms. This is probably not going to be an expensive repair, the cheapest I can imagine to a Beogram CD X, really. The problem could be to find one willing to accept the repair. I'm in Denmark and I will be happy to

The Beomaster 900K, 900M and 900RG is basically the same radio, at least it's the same chassis but there are A LOT of different versions. Designwise, there are two different "looks". - The grey one (like yours with the station memory ruler), dial completely flush with the wood surround. - The black one, where the dial is behind an extra
