The MCP5500/6500 is handled in the service manual for Beomaster 6500 (I don't know if there's a more thorough manual for it separately ). Welcome to Beoworld, David! I suppose your turntable is victim to a very common problem (happens to all of them, sooner or later) on this kind of mechanisms. The arm lifter gets stuck when the lubrication ages. This thread should show you how to fix it. It's not too hard and doesn't require any special tools, just plenty of care and patience;
