Roughly yes - you can't invent detail that isn't there in the source information although clever DSP can interpolate pixels and highlight edges etc

Not a bad plan but I think a series of marked up photos might convey the same (or more) information and should be a smaller file size.

When they say "seamless integration" they mean if they install it for you Sorry I can't help you with your specific enquiry (there are loads of others here who can) but I always find it suprising how many "glue boxes" or converters you need to make the various generations work in harmony.

Die_Bogener: Try an Burr Brown 2134 or 2132. There is a huge difference to the LF353. I have used these Burr Brown opamps in different modifications on my BM7000/CD7000 and BC2500. This chip in pincompatible and has distortions less than 0,00008%. More than 1000x times better than the LF353 :) Agree - I would start with a trip to Burr Brown, Linear
