I agree. Are you sure that the drivers are the original ? (SEAS 25F-EWR with a H336 embossed in the rubber surround). Martin

Hi and welcome to Beoworld ! Yes, I still have a few new belts for this model range. There are adjustments for the two speeds, reachable from underneath the Beogram but if the belt is slipping readjusting will only make matters worse. Martin

The lamps in the dial and in the sound bars are the same specs. Check the wedge sockets for cracked solders, it's very common to see in these machines. Martin

I don't know what causes the transistor to develop this fault. I don't have any new BC182's so I always put in a substitute. But with the AC126, it doesn't seem to matter whether it's a new component or a used one. Even a NOS (New Old Stock) AC126 can fail. Martin

Some of the small signal transistors seem to develop noise. I've had many cases of radios that, after 20 years of standing unused, recapping and general service, play fine for a couple of hours and then start to crackle and pop. In most cases, one of the small signal transistors were acting up. Especially BC182's seem prone to do this and the

Yes, the AC and DC versions are VERY different regarding electronics. I think that B&O made room for the switch and mounted it to ease installation of the optional CD4 module, hoping that it would be much more popular than it did.
