Some routers have a hard time working with other wireless stuff around. (wireless phones etc.) so check that first. The combination should work without problems though. I use a non-apple wireless router in combination with an imac and mac mini and AE. Though using itunes will help to keep it stable. Also check the routers settings, they might have too
