france has gone digital, june 8th so there's no point worrying about tuning probs here - either use satellite or the tnt(terrestrial) system into a scart socket - happened to me having acquired a wonderful late mx7000 with a french tuner - now use satellite for uk output and tnt box for french output - well pleased with the results! tony

success i think -- france is great but the internet shuts down 8- 9am and 2pm for about 15 mins as busines kicks off and the log in process ties it all up! hey ho to be in england then! t

Thanks Martin Wouldn't know the differences the original platter had a peripheral skirt , the 2200 platter is basically an unskirted disc, which with the height of the assembly reduced does not look too bad the clearance is about 2mm - and works well its just to get the whole back to original - not to worry I'll carry on as present salut tony
