HI: That is correct. You do not need the Beolink Passive. The cable you will need will have phono (red and white) jack connectors at one end and din connectors at the other. Although not common anymore, you can get din/phono connectors probably from Maplin or if not you can get them made up. Last resort for your system at the moment would be B&O

Hi: Many thanks. With regards to Q1, I have never used an Ouverture before thus from which socket on the Ouverture would I have to run the cable? All the other things you mention are "pain in the ass" issues rather than things that will stop play. Would you agree? I mean switching on the speakers if amplified or controling the volume from

Hi: This topic has been partially covered in another thread. However, I think I may have given out partially wrong advice by accident and in an effort to correct this I need to ask the following question: If one wanted to connect the Ouverture to a third party amp and passive speakers, would they need a simple din to phono cable to connect the amp to

Hi: Thanks, how long should I wait for the CAPS to discharge? I have worked on PCs which obviously have CAPS on them and have never been shocked. Is it just a case of common sense - don't mess around with the power supply, don't mess around with it whilst switched on etc? Thanks Graham

Hi all: I have another project on the go that I will probabl get half way through and then not be bothered to finish it. Well at least whilst it holds my interest in will keep me out of trouble: What I am intending to do is get an old television of iconic "of its era" design - namely an old Ferguson from the 70s/80s or a Bakerlite model, remove

Very big long shot: All of the three items (Cruise Liner?, Mercedes Cosworth 190, Police Helicopter) have B&O derived equipment. The liner probably has a lounge fitted with B&O AV equipment, the Merc ditto and the police helicopter has some kind of acoustic noise reducing tech? I told you it was a long shot

The TV is amazing. The glass shelf would be good but it is not a show stopper. I personally think this is one of the better designs that B&O have made. Next purchase DVD Avant, flat panel B&O speakers etc. Can anyone recomend a good cleaning solution to remove finger marks from Avant and Beovison 1 cabinets. I was thinking glass cleaner but

Hi: Sorry, I don't. Basicly it is for the black wooden TV stand that is supplied with some Beovision 1s. The cabinet looks like the one pictured on this eBay auction (not my auction and yes I have stolen the picture): Obviously, the glass shelf fits in the cabinet part. Hope that helps Graham

My parents had a ITT television - it is the first televison I can remember at home. It was a white portable and had odd coloured control buttons - a limey green one sticks in my mind. I can't find a picture of it on the net. Does anyone remember this TV or not enough info supplied?
