I have learnt that the first sets will ship in June and the strong rumour is that the blu-ray player will not be backwards compatible with standard def DVD's
You have got to be kidding.. So.. IF I buy a BV7 with BluRay.. then I won't be able to play my DVDs???? What kind of sick joke is this? I hope
Go for it Karel ! Keep the BV3 and put it in your bedroom !
As I rent an appartement I don't have the option of pulling extra cables to the bedroom... Damn.. Anyway... one day :-) :-) :-)

The 3rd picture is cool... A surroundsound setup with 6 BL5's!!!! :-)
bv8 no comparison in image quality to bv3 for general use plus the design works better as a 26 inch it doesnt look right as a 40 inch
For me it's just the oposit. In my (very) humble opinion the 40" looks sleeker and more tailored than the 32" and 26". I'm not fond of the 2 smaller versions

IF my BV3 would break down then I'd go for the BV8-40 without hesitation. But at this point the BV3 is alive and véry kicking... and the € 4K is something that my bankaccount can take at the moment. But I see no reason the switch a fully functioning BV3 for a BV8 at the moment.
