You better get in touch with Apple and tell them then, Alex. I suggest you have a look at this page: http://www.apple.com/itunes/features/ It's quite up to date. Apple did get DRM removed from the catalogue of some music companies - but this is an issue in flux. Some bands have now removed content due to EMI's financial woes, for instance. As

I do hope you weren't listening to the Beomaster "at full blast with headphones" after replacing the dummy plug! What I really like about BeoWorld is how solutions to problems usually appear in a flash.

I suspect you may be confusing restrictions on playback of files purchased through the iTunes Store with ALAC (Apple Lossless). The iTunes Store files are not lossless, anyway, they are compressed mp3. ALAC is comparable to FLAC, and is just a lossless compression format, which can be unwrapped with ease into any other container - for instance to AIFF
Apple allowing 3rd party companies to play Apple lossless music on other media servers would be the big change.
Not sure I follow? There are various 3rd party solutions that use only a part of the Apple platform, while providing other playback chains - and it is in lossless, or even uncompressed Redbook full

Ah, I had mine open the other day, and can confirm red, transparent plastic. The red color is quite strong, but the plastic is transparent. Should have taken a photo! Here's the shape:

Interesting, and definitely not very subtle. Knowing a little about how B&O works with designers, I doubt that this change was done without Jensen's approval, and he must have wanted to beef up those lines. I personally prefer the 4000-version. We seem to be kindred B&O souls, I also spent a day in a car when picking up my Beogram 4000
That all being said, to remain on topic, i have left them at Treble -4, should it really have to be like that in order to enjoy a balanced sound from them? My beolab 1's were set to Treble +1...
No, that sounds strange. Have you tried different sources, to check whether you get the same brightness with each

I was just sitting with the book the Jarman Brothers (sounds like a band) have written about collecting B&O. Always a joy to go through. I noticed the links to BeoWorld the other day - I like how the two sites complement one another, and how they always turn up first in any search for a particular component.

Acanthus has done something similar. http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/32101/283654.aspx#283654

I'd like to equip my Beogram 4000 with a period stylus, and am looking for an MMC 20CL original - silver - which I'll then have Schallplattennadeln put into top condition. I'd prefer it if the original markings were intact. We can agree a price, or I'll trade a Hardcover version of the "Experience Bang & Olufsen" 2006/2007
