This worries me. With all these features, I would be worried it would affect the sales of the BeoVision 7-40. After all, this is pretty much the same feature set as the BeoVision 7-40 (although you don't get the included popcorn machine).

The BeoMaster 5 isn't a media centre so won't do DVDs/video playback (it supports video playback, but it's more for short family snaps etc... You may want to have a look at the TViX system, or on more of a budget, something like the Apple TV.

It can't be done without completely removing all the electronics and simply using the existing casing. It has been done and there's a thread about it on the forum, but you won't be left with an Avant and it requires very gutting...

The BeoCenter 2 was just that, a Beo Center . The BeoSound 5 is a sound system/hifi product, not a BeoCenter of any sorts. And in general, cables do not need to be seen - there's almost always a way of hiding them...

I hate to disagree with you but I can't really think of anything I'd hate more than a voice-activated sound system. Firstly, it's doing no more than disconnect the listener/user further from their music IMO (which digital media has already gone part the way to doing). Secondly, I'd feel like a complete nutcase talking to my stereo. Thirdly

Of course you can load them yourself! If you're using a PC, you use BeoPlayer (which is the way your dealer would do it). If you're using a Mac, you use BeoConnect with iTunes.

I would aim a little lower than that but you're not far off the mark.

In theory it should work fine. You would need to touch the edge of the screen to get the little arrows popping up, but it should all work as normal.
