I have a CD4500 with a burned out power supply if anyone wants it. The glass panel also got broken so is no longer there. I've obviously no idea if any other parts are working as I cannot power it up. It is a UK version. The polished lid & case are OK - the polished lid has a few small marks but nothing at all serious. If it's from an MS6000 then it will be fine. Chris.

Faulty doesn't come even close to describing this poor thing .......... He goes on to say (& I quote) "The item is in good cosmetic condition, there are some knocks and marks from general use. Please review the photos above for more details".
Any advise on how to prevent this. Any specific way of packing it?
Not really, it would involve the seller opening the speakers & applying a bead of epoxy resin around the magnet assemblies where they are stuck to the frame of the drivers. It is the magnets becoming detached & moving to one side &

I think it's simply called an IR remote sensor cable - as you called it in your post. I have one somewhere doing nothing. Chris.
The 4500 is certainly a good looking Beomaster, with the 5500 less so in my opinion
No doubt about it - the 4500 is much better looking than the box which is the 5500 and will sit really well even as a stand alone unit. Performance wise (for passive speakers) though the 5500 beats it. The 4500 isn't lacking
