The very first Pentas apparently didn't have a very flat response but this was fixed. I doubt you will hear any difference at all - the sound will depend on the state of the drivers and crossover more than anything and you will find some Mark 1s that sound better than Mark 3s due to condition. If you are happy, I would keep what you have!

I think there will be a serial number inside - However in this situation, I cannot see any dealer being happy to touch this.

In which case no PIN so useless. Only useful if the acquirer didn't scratch it when 'lifting' it.

Use the Tape 2 socket on the Beomaster. It will output line out when you play the Beocord through Tape 1. If the other Tape deck has RCA plugs, you need a 4 RCA cable to 5 pin DIN cable. Steve will be able to help you.

I would suggest making the effort and picking it up if buying it. These Beograms really don't like travelling by post. Having said that, I imagine this seller will be expert at packing.
