I am also owning a BV8-40 for a bit more than a year now but do not have any noise. It is simply a nice TV set with stunning picture and sound. So I am quite sure there is a fix for your problem. Let the dealer come and repair till it is solved.

Today a B&O service technician was here. We made a direct line from Beoport to my BV8-32 - same problem. After a long telephone conversation with B&O Germany he made a SW update for the system module. Now everything is updated but still same sound problem. The helpdesk now suggested to change PCB14 mainboard... Very strange.
