This part breaks on all Beocenters of the 5000 and 7000-range. The dampening grease hardens with age and the lid gets forced up and down until finally the hinge piece breaks. I may have a new original part in stock. Todays tip; A tiny amount of contact cleaning agent sprayed down the hinge piece losens up the grease immediately, this will free the lids

Welcome to beoworld ! Here's my opinion; Quite a rare Beocenter, actually. Superb amplifier and tuner, cassette part not the worst but a bit hard to service. Beovox S45-2 the best of the lot. Quality speakers, even by todays standards. Beogram 2200, not the worst deck around. A very fine 70's system indeed and not a combination we see a lot

Hi and welcome to Beoworld ! You only need an adapter cable going from whatever plug your CD deck has (presumably 2x RCA) to a 5-pin DIN. YOu can connect to any of the two tape inputs as you please. Your local dealer will have an adapter or you can find one at Ebay. Martin
