Hi PWH, Thanks for this nice link. Actually, I had it bookmarked already. Yes, I have the large B&O compendium and also all but a few of the original discrete service manuals but thanks for your generous offer. It's very true that even if you cannot find the schematics for a certain valve set, you will be able to make out most of it by looking

I agree with Die_Bogener that the caps would be the first thing to check and then look for what other damage they may have caused. The photo, I believe, is of PL212's Penta rather than Puck's but it could very well be the same issue. Martin

Good job ! You ask about the glass disc and the mirror. I take it that oneof these will be the touch glass panel at the front where you operate the CD X. I am almost sure that no parts are available from B&O anylonger for this model. I would love to be proved wrong, though. If the glass disc is the one that is referred to in the service manual for

The CD50 is the only B&O CD deck that loads labelside down. If the tracklist is correct (correct number of tracks) the CD has been read correctly (= laser OK). Why it won't start playing is a different issue, maybe lack of power to certain parts of the controller / processor. Martin

I would prefer even a not-original dial lamp to that huge resistor anytime and the added mains filter cap is also

Hi and welcome to Beoworld ! Your Beocenter is probably in need of a good service after some 30 years. It's very common to see that capacitors dry out and that can cause the strangest things. There are fuses inside the Beocenter but if one has blown, the cause will have to be investigated. Voltage readings etc. is needed to get further into a diagnose

Jeff, Beocord 9000 motors are hard to come by. They are unique to this model due to the 2-speed rewind etc. I currently don't have any. Some time ago, I started looking into the possibility of rebuilding these motors but haven't had time to conclude anything. Belts are available though. What you can clean in the CD X is, I suppose, limited to

Koblingen - hvor ? Har du et reservedelsnummer eller en idé om hvilken del, der tales om ? Jeg har en god portion dele liggende, så det var da ikke umuligt at jeg kunne hjælpe. Martin

Vifa: Hej Tak for svaret Dillen!
