DVD1 is a piece of junk! They usually work for a week or so. I've had two second hand, both back to the dealer within days, broken, with the same problem as yours. Luckily I got mine from a dealer who returned my money.

You sure you're not getting "ripped-off". I think there's been several broken displays here on the forum, and I guess we would have heard about the absurd price? Or is this due to the BEO5 getting replaced by BEO6, and spares are getting expensive.
