Hi SnOOpy, Yes, you can connect a non-B&O source into BeoLab 9 (or Beolab 3, which use the same Line input method) without the need for BeoPort, but you just need to be careful over the volume levels you use. First (VERY important!), ensure that you have a variable volume output from the TV/MP3 player or other source (test using headphones first

I agree with you Dave! I have taken countless critical comments over the years from "audiophile" friends who have knocked my choice of B&O systems, although my kit has always given me a far more enjoyable listening experience than their (often far more expensive) hifi systems. I love the whole ownership experience, including the operation

Hi Guys, Having heard the BeoVox 1, I must say that they are good when properly installed in the back-boxes, but IMHO they are no better than speakers from other companies who specialise in wall/ceiling speakers (ie. Kef). Once cost is added to the equation, I would always recommend Kef above BeoVox 1. By the way, Beolink Passive is not essential, as

Hi Martin, I agree, it is easy to drive a non-B&O sub from a spare Powerlink socket. As each Powerlink socket contains both left and right audio channels, a " Powerlink to RCA cable " will allow you to power either a non-B&O sub or a conventional "hifi" stereo amp and passive speakers from any modern B&O audio system

Thanks Keith, That's very helpful! I think Beo5 could be the way to go..... Cheers, Steve.

Hi, Does anyone happen to know the specification of the infra-red signals used in Beo4/Beo5/Beolink 1000? I understand that these operate at 455kHz, but I'm keen to find out any information eg. pulse codes, signal levels, etc. as I'm looking at integrating my B&O system with some other brands of light controllers. Thanks, Steve.

Hello Stefan, I think you may not always get a good sound when using Beolab 4000 and 6000 together as stereo pairs, but why not try it and see? So much depends on your listening room that sometimes you will find speaker positions that work even when logic says it shouldn't! Maybe a good starting point would be to try the 4000's directly above

Hi Stefan, hope you are well? I agree that the generally accepted hi-fi view is to have 2 speakers in front of you, with the tweeters at ear height, about the same distance apart as they are away from you. However, I've been doing some experiments to try to challenge this, and I would encourage you to do the same! I asked myself some time ago what

Wow, I'm in love! I could even put up with the (very slightly) less than perfect sound of the 4500's with that colour scheme..... Now I'm wondering what my RedLine 60's would look like in that shade.... (Ok, maybe not!) However, I do have a few spare sets of CX50's in the loft that are in need of a makeover Steve.

Thanks Gorissek, I'm glad that my cables are being seen on BeoWorld! I currently have a number of dealers in the UK who keep these in stock (including LifeStyle AV where your picture came from) and I'm hoping to offer these to franchises across Europe during the coming months. These iPod cables are intended to be true "hifi" cables
