I have a Nikon Coolpix P1 which has been great on the go, but I would like to invest in an SLR.

Henry did point out that the file transfer was slow using the dock and the older USB format. Does this get around it, and is it easy to upgrade the firmware? Hi John, Yes the transfer speed of your
