As you can see, even B&O itself follows your first corollary: http://media2.worldcarfans.com/2005/7/medium/2050708.007.1M.jpg As to the second one, it used to be that nothing could be compared to B&O, those were the days, eh?

Beovox S60+Beomaster 4000+Beogram 4002
Beautiful and I bet it sounds/sounded fantastic. On an unrelated, Personal Holy Grail note: Sigh...still no photographic evidence of The Precious in a working system...
There is one ... a stellar BeoWorlder owns it. http://forum.beoworld

Horror link showing what happened to one month's worth of turntables received by a repairman in the US. http://www.vinylnirvana.com/ar_gallery_damage.shtml

Thanks for that link, mika. I missed that when you first posted it. A useful guide for people who come across these, in order to avoid having them be damaged in transport. I'd say there is no need to remove the panels that comprise the controls, they're held well in place by the snap-springs. But do contradict me if anyone feels differently

You need to download the service manual, and follow the instructions there when it comes to removing the aluminium plate around the platter. Careful when removing it to avoid scratching anything. You shouldn't need to remove the plate above the indicator bar. Just leave that in place during transport, but make certain that it can't get free

BeoNut1 -- Earlier this year, Meridian launched the following app for Sooloos, and together with a number of other manufacturers, they are adopting the standard for playback Apple is developing.

See if you can find Anthony Garza - he used to be the best vintage B&O repairman in the U.S. And he was based in Texas. http://barditch.beocentral.com/

I showed the BV8 on its sculptural stand earlier, but that photo doesn't do the stand justice. Here's how I had the BV8 before moving the Beosystem 6500 into the corner, behind it. Here, you clearly see the beauty of the integrated stand and television - it's why I won't ever part with my 26" BV8. Among David Lewis' best efforts
