timhanna: Hi. Isnt that the one that looks like the samsung one? I've got an Ipod, and im not too happy about it, battery sucks and it feels like a copy of b&o. Silver and black that feels cheap, but unfortunately i cant find anything that rivals it. I.e. beosound 2 has 2gb flash? Whats that all about?! Please! The ipod is a copy of the B&O

Heh, I just went downstairs and checked, you guys were right. The "hole" I remembered being in both was just a "dimple" in one of them. Sorry about that. I hate when people like myself go around talking about things as if they know without having actually checked

Hmm, interesting Graham. I could have sworn the two woofers on the pair I'm working on now are the same. I'll check later today. I don't really see much of an advantage in having two slightly different woofers in a 2-way crossover though.

Kevin: The one with the hole is the bass driver the other the midrange. It is one of the easier ones to refoam but fun non the less CX100's don't cross the woofers over at two different frequencies. It's a basic 2-way crossover. B&O used woofers from different sources throughout the long life of the CX100 range (even though the specifications

Just to add to the info here, older beogram turntables (I'm not sure about the more recent ones) won't work across countries with only a voltage transformer or internal voltage change because the motor speeds are based on the frequency of the power current. This means the motor has to be changed or modified.

Personally, past 1080p I'm really only interested in contrast and colors. I can see this arena turning into the digital camera system, where cheap pocket cameras are now boasting about having over 9 megapixels, but what good is it through a little junk lens. I'll take an 8 megapixel digital slr over an 11 megapixel pocket camera, but the companies

I also agree TripEnglish and beocool, but I wouldn't proclaim B&O as a company of pure design and not decoration. Obviously there is nothing design related about B&O offering speakers in umpteen different colors. The company furthermore advertises how well many of its products will match your home decor. I think it's fair to say that

Maybe it's not my place saying this in the beoworld forum, but if I was looking to put together a high end home theater system, I probably wouldn't use any B&O products. When it comes to stereos I'll sacrifice some sound quality for the cool B&O looks, but in a home theater system I don't really think the trade-off is worth it

Now that I know your weakness Andy it'll be difficult to prevent myself from exploiting it. Mwahaha....

I don't really understand how this is "official" now? I personally prefer 720p myself also, but the article still sounds a little something like: "Car Industry Confirms that Red Cars are Officially Better than White Ones"
