This is from a B&O patent.

Although I am very excited about all these possibilities, I would not buy anything based on promises of features coming later by the mean of software updates. We've seen with the BM5 that B&O was very slow at delivering software update.
No masterlink = Rubish for me.
Hey guys... you need to put the pieces of the puzzle together. B&O is phasing out Masterlink. Trip explained this is the first product on the new platform. We know the new link system is based on Ethernet and is called Beonet. So "no masterlink" does not mean no

Regarding the quality... (when it works) Airport transport the music with a lossless compression. So there is no loss in quality due to the transmission (I am not talking about dropouts here). The DAC in the Aiport express may be bad. You can use the digital connexion and an external DAC.

You need to make sure all your Macs and Airport are in Wifi N, otherwise there is not enough bandwidth. You can analyse the spectrum and select a different frequency. I have no issues at all. There are possibly 20 wifi networks I can see around me.
sudden burst of rumours and speculation about hidden capabilities in iOS 4.2 and what it means for AirPlay and video ..... see www.macrumors.com
Also in the news: Any iPhone app that can play video will be able to send its video to ATV2.

Today only the MLGW and the BM5 have an ethernet socket. I hear all new devices will have ethernet from now, so maybe this remote is for these new devices.

It is rumoured to be a two-way remote. So for your setup it might not be interesting, but for people that want to browse their Beosound 5 playlists, or who want to control their home automation system from their sofa, it may be interesting. p.

"Beolink" on the iPhone comunicates over wifi and can control all the devices in your home. I suppose they use the same mechanism. The "new product" you are talking about exists, it is the Masterlink gateway, and I bet it'll use it.

The specs are not released yet, it is difficult to judge from just the name! On the Beo5, for example, you can have logos for channels, so you do not have to remember the channel number, you just click on the CNN logo for example.
