B&O has just posponed the launch of Encore til after summer.... It is because they would like to assure that the quality is perfect before it is released. /Weebyx
In my experience this is marketing speak for "there are too many software faults still to be ironed out"

This will get you a whole host of answers. Judging by the treble/bass/loudness settings on the majority of Beocenters/Beosounds that I buy in, most users would appear to be tone deaf anyway!! The only answer is to listen and make your own mind up, they are your ears after all.

I suppose it is possible but it's a new one on me! I've never seen one with a spindle motor failure. Are they sure? Or just spinning you a line! Just because the CD doesn't spin it is not neccessarily the motor that has failed. The CD will not spin until laser focus is found. It is so uncommon that I would ask them to check the motor again

There should be a law against that colour!

I usually does require a replacement laser kit for a permanent cure.

There is NO difference in sound quality between these two models. The Masterlink socket in the 3000 is the only major difference between the two models. Beosound 3000's will obviosly be newer and possibly (?) more reliable but will be more expensive. They can both be controlled with BL1000 or Beo4.
It would be interesting for many people but price is a bit high?! Just my thought. Also is it in the original box?
If you want one in this condition then the price is reasonable.............providing it is "as described". They are not making any more!!

Your B&O dealer can still supply a new door latch and fitting is relatively simple. Ask him to order 3034066

Correct! Completely different connections and it connects to a different CD interface.
sorry to bump this thread, but i have a beogram9500, when i go to play any vinyl format the said vinyl plays slow then speeds up to normal speed and stays there. i was advised by a dealer that i should just let the turntable warm up with the vinyl on the platter spinning at any speed before actually moving the arm into
