Finally having the bathroom done - graduated pink suite seemed to be unlikely to come back into fashion - and am going to replace the CX50s I have there with ceiling mounted ones. I have a sneaking suspicion that it is actually the main speakers - the labelling on the back is confusing to say the least. Does the working right channel mute when you press mute? Only the speaker 1 mutes and it is very common for the mute relay to stick in one channel.

They can be repaired and this is the cheapest option - Axel in Germany will retip it - or upgrade it to an MMC2 if you want! The latter is obviously expensive! Look in the articles - his web link is there - at work so don't have it to hand!

I think it will be worse - the MCL2P is only 30W. The Cona only goes down to 40Hz anyway - the RL6000s goes down to 42Hz.
