I notice that Lifestyle-AV have a pair of Beovox (passive) penta's on ebay now at £295 - but they do need the mid-ranges sorting. You wont find a pair of Beolabs for £300 - I was very lucky finding my pair of beolab penta's (mkII's) for £470. The previous guys were right in saying circa £600+ will get you a good pair
