The 2400 is not a completred set until you get one. I like to bank shot its commands off the cieling or the side walls or the the behind the back. Fun little remote.

Glad to help and welcome to Beoworld. you can buy the adapter cable to run your CD player off the Tape 2 RCA jack from Sounds Heavenly. Just click the link at the bottom of the page.

I dont think you are suppose to use the DIN line in/line out for hooking up external components such as CD iPods etc. It was intended for use with say an equalizer or some other type of prefilter/preamp. Leaving it unplugged will mute the rest of the Beocenter. There should be a plug that fits in its place. Use the the tape 2 for the CD player instead

You might want to replace all the bulbs. they are 15v 1 w. leaded style so you will have to solder new ones in and desolder the old ones out. There are kits available with instructions on how to do it. Not really a hard job.
