• Re: bm1000: weak R channel / light out

There are two bulbs in the dial, one in each end. The originals are 6.3V 300mA E10 bulbs - I don't know what they are called on that side of the pond, but here they are known as "flashlight" bulbs. 6.3V is off to specialty shops but 3V flashlight bulbs are available in every corner shop, so if you don't tell anyone, I'll reveal

  • Re: Beo4 NiMh batteries

I can't see why not, but I also fail to see why. Beo4 uses extremely little power (probably a fraction of the amount NiMH batteries discharge by themselves when disconnected) and the cell voltage would be a little low to begin with. You would probably be recharging them every other month. I recommend Energizer Lithiums. In applications like this
Ta da!! it worked with your suggestion. What happens if I ever want to use a two way??
You just use it It's the remote that needs to know which devices are two-way and which are not. The two-way appliances themselves will respond appropriately whenever they receive a command from a two-way remote.

  • Re: B&O Penta owners will want to bookmark this!

I'll take a look at the software, might be fun to try it myself. With setups like that, I just always wonder whether we'd be measuring the speaker, the room, the crappy sound card of the PC, or the $30 mic
I'm working on the original Beovox from 1989 (e.g mk1). I don't see any reason to put polypropylene's ones in as the sound is still as close to perfect as I've heard from a set of speakers.
I believe (literally, with no facts) that the aging of the original caps depends on how much (and how loud
Sorry if this is all fairly obvious. However, have you checked the battery terminals of the remote for corosion and/or have you tried fresh batteries? Sometimes it is the simplest things that cause the biggest problems.
This can be a real problem since all Beolink 1000s are getting rather old. In the old
A thought occured to me - does it follow that all the folk who unplug also drive small frugal cars?
Like my 1962 Cadillac and the 1988 Volvo STW?
