• Re: Are you prepared to pay the pirce for the new BeoSound 5
In the end, the bottom line will be whether it sells or not and therefore can be judged 'successful' in both product and pricing terms. If it's a 'flop' then something went wrong for B&O. If it sells then they got it right and I'm wrong in my opinion about it. It will be interesting to see

  • Re: Beomedia
Further, regarding Beomedia 1 and Beomaster 5.....why no AAC lossless compatibility? If I (not a programmer) am able to add this capability to windows media player (although not easily ) I would think B&O would figure out how.
Yes, you can do that as a private person on your home PC, but it's a completely

  • Re: Beo4 bug?

Yes, I have one DVD version, but I've never really used it since I need the AV function quite often. I'll try and use it for a couple of days and see if it does the same...

  • Beo4 bug?

Of all my remotes, my favourite is the older Beo4 with the AV button. However, it seems to have a bug with the STAND command (I use it quite often, as I can see the TV from the kitchen if I rotate it). Sometimes - maybe once every second day - the STAND mode forgets to timeout from the display (usually it timeouts after 30 seconds or so since you last

  • Re: MOTS experience
but whether it's on my MacBook Air (1.8ghz) or my iMac (2.8ghz), neither one is particularly adept at rendering album artwork seamlessly in iTunes. So I don't know what's under the hood yet (though I may pop open one at the store now that my curiosity has been piqued), but it's clearly a good match

  • Re: Roomba
I don't know about the Beo5 but was thinking of getting a Roomba myself. Do you own one? Which model do you have? Are they worthwhile?
We've had one (or actually several, more on that later) at the office. To keep it short, basically it works great. If you don't have fluffy carpets, furniture

  • Re: Thanks and need help for my B&O
Only thing i worried my speaker cable connection + and - is that going to be a cause theBL1000 not working,
No, that can't be the problem. Perhaps the original owner had the tv and the Beomaster connected together, and the Beomaster might be programmed to option 0 (i.e it doesn't use its own IR receiver

  • Re: BeoMaster 5 Hardware specs
Guess that we have to wait for some one opening the unit to take a series of inside out pictures of the extra connectivity board.
Didn't Keith do that months ago? Of course I can't find the thread now, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a VIA board...

  • Re: Any new BeoLab in the near future?

I'll revive this topic, since I just took a look at what I'm supposed to be studying All this phantom channel stuff is, obviously, pretty much old news at the time you can start buying them in shops: http://www.acoustics.hut.fi/research/cat/vbap/

  • Re: B&O Penta owners will want to bookmark this!
Well Mika, yes the setup would work much better in an acoustic chamber. I found the website showing how to assemble the microphone element. For $3 you're buying just a little capsule element. If you look around, especially on diyaudio.com, some people sell the mic element along with a calibration file for about
