It could be the cartridge but before embarking on this route, it would be worth testing the Beogram with another cartridge. Do you know anyone around you with a Beogram with any of the suitable cartridges - or try your MMC2 on their deck.

Most dealers will offer part exchange - however the prices offered may not be that great and you may get a better deal selling privately. It is the same as cars - more convenient to part exchange but he will look to make profit on the deal.
