The Beomaster 1200 is quite different from the Beomaster 3400 and doesn't have the same problems but as Richard states, a capaitor kit is available and recomended. Lamps are available too. Try swapping the leads to the two large capacitors at the speaker output, near the headphone socket, they often go bad. See if the problem switches to the other

Hi Andy, and welcome to Beoworld ! There are at least two versions of Beovox and I believe even three and there are both 2-way and 3-way versions. I dont' have the specs at hand, probably 20W max power but they are wonderful sounding speakers, especially the 3-way version(s). Martin

You are not alone with this discovery, Jeff. Start at the center and mount the center plastic holder. For the sides, do one side at a time, let the spring hang on the outside of the groove at the lid, mount the holder and lift/rotate the spring into place using pliers. A 2-minute job when you know how. Martin

Could very well be like Peter suggests. You could also check for dust accumulated on the receiver (and senders) at the board behind the glass (left side). Still no luck, replace the capacitors at the processor board. There is a battery inside the CPU metal casing, it's a lithium battery. A low battery won't normally affect remote control functions

Obviously, the ideal thing would be to replace all components in a Beogram to restore it to working condition but that's neither feasible nor practical. Instead, I try to target the kits in on components in stressed positions, components of problem brands and include the odd known trouble-makers. This will often see the kits skipping certain caps
